HFC-227ea (FM200) clean agent automatic fire suppression systems are widely used in China and around the world. Their greatest advantage is compliance with global environmental protection requirements — the agent will not harm the ozone layer, even at a 1% probability of exposure. Additional strengths include the clean, odorless, and colorless nature of the agent, along with straightforward installation, making it the preferred substitute for Halon 1301.

The FM200 gas fire suppression system operates more efficiently when equipped with electric elements. It requires only a small storage room outside, but adjacent to, the protected zone, helping to save space. The system also distinguishes itself with a fast discharge time of less than 10 seconds.

The pipe network type FM200 fire suppression system consists of three parts: the pipe network, the fire fighting equipment, and the electrical elements. The electrical elements form a set of detecting devices and always play a subsidiary role in each system. They include several control panels, manual buttons, discharge indicator lights, alarm bells, sounder-with-light units, smoke detectors, and heat detectors.
